GR
It's been six weeks since angels of the apocalypse descended to demolish the modern world. Street gangs rule the day while fear and superstition rule the night. When warrior angels fly away with a helpless little girl, her seventeen-year-old sister Penryn will do anything to get her back.

Anything, including making a deal with an enemy angel.

Raffe is a warrior who lies broken and wingless on the street. After eons of fighting his own battles, he finds himself being rescued from a desperate situation by a half-starved teenage girl.

Traveling through a dark and twisted Northern California, they have only each other to rely on for survival. Together, they journey toward the angels' stronghold in San Francisco where she'll risk everything to rescue her sister and he'll put himself at the mercy of his greatest enemies for the chance to be made whole again.

Best.Angel+Post-apocalypse.Book.Ever >.<

I devoured this book in one sitting and I didn't care that I had to stay up all night because I couldn't stop reading it. The plot is ordinary but it's so addictive.  Ee had done a pretty good job to capture the world that I couldn't resist even though it is deathly. This is my first time reading about post-apocalypse book. True that it's terrifying and scared the hell out of me but somehow I couldn't get enough of it.

The characters are fantastic. I loved Penryn, her character is so perfect and I have nothing to complain about. She is strong and loyal and realistic. Her mother, oh lord she is a #@?# INSANE--> creep me out the whole time.  Raffe, oh Raffe, where should I start...he just *sigh*  I have trouble finding the word. He had it all you know. The romance, a forbidden love to be exact I knew it there. The tension, I could feel it but it's not really clear you know. The ending isn't a cliff hanger but it's killing me. I want to know more and I have absolutely no idea how the story will go.

Totally recommend. Besides how can you even resist such a stunning cover right ;)

    1. Just give it a try (few chapters maybe) to see if you like it. If not, no hard feeling next book it is. And if you do end up loving it and want to talk about it. Well you know where to find me =)

  2. I've had this one for a while, but I never really gave it a second thought until the past few weeks, Amie! It seems to get so many glowing reviews, and that's really, really tempting! What a wonderful and thorough review :)
