On the precipice of her sixteenth birthday, the last thing lone wolf Cat Crawford wants is an extravagant gala thrown by her bubbly stepmother-to-be and well-meaning father. So even though Cat knows the family’s trip to Florence, Italy, is a peace offering, she embraces the magical city and all it offers. But when her curiosity leads her to an unusual gypsy tent, she exits . . . right into Renaissance Firenze.

Thrust into the sixteenth century armed with only a backpack full of contraband future items, Cat joins up with her ancestors, the sweet Alessandra and protective Cipriano, and soon falls for the gorgeous aspiring artist Lorenzo. But when the much-older Niccolo starts sniffing around, Cat realizes that an unwanted birthday party is nothing compared to an unwanted suitor full of creeptastic amore.

Can she find her way back to modern times before her Italian adventure turns into an Italian forever?

I just finished reading this book and it broke my heart literally. What did I sign up for? Before picking this up, I thought this was a stand alone and since it's about time travel  I was going to have some fun, light read. However due to my lack information this is not a stand alone, the sequel is coming out in August 2013. This news made me jump up and down like crazy because with the ending like that, it could not be the end. I do not know if this will be a duology or trilogy or series but anyway thank gods that the sequel is released this year, if I have to wait any longer I would have die.

The first two chapters may seem nothing is special but as Cat walked into the Renaissance, that's where the story begins. So sit back and enjoy the ride, you will have the chance to live in the sixteenth century through Cat's eyes. Not to mention, the sweet Lorenzo will charm your heart to the point that breathing can be difficult. That's also the reason why my heart broke in pieces when Cat is going home and meet Lucas ( a version of Lorenzo). I was screaming inside because poor poor Lorenzo, what 's about him? I hope that Lucas is somehow Lorenzo transported to the future. I don't know, I have to wait for the sequel for the answer.

Ok sum up everything about this book, you will have a fun, fast and somewhat cheesy read so what are you waiting for and not start reading it (if you have not read it yet) ;)
