Review: Shut Out by Kody Keplinger

★★★★★
Most high school sports teams have rivalries with other schools. At Hamilton High, it's a civil war: the football team versus the soccer team. And for her part,Lissa is sick of it. Her quarterback boyfriend, Randy, is always ditching her to go pick a fight with the soccer team or to prank their locker room. And on three separate occasions Randy's car has been egged while he and Lissa were inside, making out. She is done competing with a bunch of sweaty boys for her own boyfriend's attention

Then Lissa decides to end the rivalry once and for all: She and the other players' girlfriends go on a hookup strike. The boys won't get any action from them until the football and soccer teams make peace. What they don't count on is a new sort of rivalry: an impossible girls-against-boys showdown that hinges on who will cave to their libidos first. But what Lissa never sees coming is her own sexual tension with the leader of the boys, Cash Sterling.

One word, HILARIOUS. I got through this in one sitting. The book is really a page turner, I kept reading and reading and before I knew it I finished the book. Kody Keplinger is my favorite author since I love her "A midsummer's nightmare" so much. So I decided to pick up all of her books and I am glad that I did pick this one although I am not a fan of the cover.  After reading the book I understand why they designed the cover the way it is. And even though it's meaningful but if you do not know the story then the message is off. I don't know if it's just me or what but when I look it the first time, I thought it was some make up book=/ There's not really much to say except this book is really cute and the ending just melt my heart away, so read it and I am sure you will have a good time.

Some of my favorite quotes from the book

"Sometimes you just need to relax and have faith that things will work out. Let go a little and let life happen. You don’t want to miss out on the best parts of life just because you were afraid of getting hurt"

"that being ashamed of what you want or how you feel is pointless, and letting anyone else make you feel ashamed is a waste"
