Q: Pick a book in your favorite genre that you’d recommend to a reluctant reader.

I was going to say YA but then it's not a genre right. YA is like middle grade or adult fiction and they are all considered as an age range. That's what I think but please correct me if I'm wrong.

Anyway to be on the safe side my answer for this question is high fantasy. I love high fantasy because I love the world building and it's a place where everything, I mean everything (you name it: magic, mythical creatures etc etc) is possible.

What book I'd recommend...I think it depends on the person I'm recommending it to. I mean if they haven't read before and want to get into reading then I'd recommended Eon: Dragoneye Reborn by Alison Goodman or Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas.

Otherwise I'd recommend Seven Realms series by Cinda Williams Chima ---> one of the best high fantasy I've read but it was a little bit slow in the beginning and I don't want to scare them off because of that.

  1. Hopping through. I really liked Eon and Throne of Glass. I think of YA as a genre, but it's not really a matter of being right or wrong. Everyone has their own definition of what is a genre.

    1. Yeah I'd hate to think of YA as an age range since I just can't wrap my head around the idea of putting an age certificate on books.

  2. Always glad to meet a fellow high fantasy lover! I'm hoping to get the first couple books in the Seven Realms series for Christmas, I don't mind it when a good series starts off slow, hopefully its as good as everyone says! :)
