Everything repeats.
You. Your best friend. Every person you know.
Many worlds. Many lives---infinite possibilities.

Welcome to the multiverse.

Sixteen-year-old Sasha Lawson has only ever known one small, ordinary life. When she was young, she loved her grandfather's stories of parallel worlds inhabited by girls who looked like her but led totally different lives. Sasha never believed such worlds were real--until now, when she finds herself thrust into one against her will.

To prevent imminent war, Sasha must slip into the life of an alternate version of herself, a princess who has vanished on the eve of her arranged marriage. If Sasha succeeds in fooling everyone, she will be returned home; if she fails, she'll be trapped in another girl's life forever. As time runs out, Sasha finds herself torn between two worlds, two lives, and two young men vying for her love--one who knows her secret, and one who thinks she's someone she's not.

The first book in the Many-Worlds Trilogy, Tandem is a riveting saga of love and betrayal set in parallel universes in which nothing--and no one--is what it seems.

I always find parallel universe or doppelganger fascinating. I don't know why but it always draws me in for some reason (it's like my siren song, I just can't resit). So you guys can guess that I was dying to read Tandem when I first heard about this book. 'Welcome to the multiverse'--> I was like YES please. And let me tell you, I devoured this book in one sitting and simply couldn't put it down. The story is really entertaining with its fast paced and twisted plot. But I had to admit the mystery wasn't really mystery because I could kind of predict who the bad guys were (I don't know if it's just me but I didn't really have to look hard to find it. The hint was just there).

About the characters: Thomas, he's just ok I guess. I don't know but I just can't think of anything to say about him. He's just not a memorable character =( It's sad because he is one of the main characters and it seems like I can't fall for him. The prince though, I liked him a lot but I can feel that there won't be much of him in the future (I mean there will be but not as an important character. Hope I'm wrong though). About Sasha, oh Sasha I liked her but I really disliked the insta-love between her and Thomas. I mean how can she just falls in love that fast to the person who kidnapped her. She trusts him so easily that I can't tell if she really is smart or not. One thing though, the love between Sasha and Thomas didn't make my heart flutter. Sorry but I fell nothing, nothing at all. There's just no chemistry between them. And the real princess, Juliana I don't know much about her to say anything. Right now from her actions, I can say that she is selfish but I just can't tell if that's all or there is more to it. I mean it seems like she loves her father a lot, then why she could leave him like that. Tandem didn't have all the answers since it's just the first book. So I guess I've to wait for the second book to know what will happen and to learn more about all the characters. And hopefully by then I'd somehow love Thomas and the love interest between him and Sasha won't be awkward.

Overall, I liked Tandem despite there were so many things that annoyed me. The multiverse was explained pretty well. And with that ending, it made me curious because I have no idea what the future will hold (I hope there will be more Grant in the future). There are so many possibilities, oh I just can't wait to read the next book =)
