Feature Follow Friday #18

The Feature & Follow is hosted by TWO hosts, Parajunkee and Alison.

Q: Back to school. Create a reading list for the imaginary English Lit class you’ll be teaching this semester.

I think I'll go for both classics and some modern fictions so those who don't like to read don't feel suffocated and hopefully they will find reading 'fun'. So here is the reading list

1. Shakespeare
2. Catcher in the Rye
3. The Fault in Our Stars
4. The Perks of Being a Wallflower
5. Complete Poems of Emily Dickinson
6. The Odyssey & The Iliad

  1. Ma'am I think I'm gonna fail your subject since my system is not made for a lot of classics. But let's be friends.

  2. Love the mix of old and new. Not really a fan of Catcher in the Rye, but it's a popular one for High School lit! :) Old follower passing through.

  4. Yay for the Odyssey and the Iliad!

I've actually managed not to read Catcher in the Rye, but I think it's going to be one of those I read in 2014. I want to catch up on some of the classics.

  5. Perks and TFIOS would be good! We'd just have to be careful because people might break down in tears in the middle of class XD Eventually I want to read Shakespeare's major works, and The Odyssey/Iliad, but that might be a while away...
