Godspeed was once fueled by lies. Now it is ruled by chaos.

It’s been three months since Amy was unplugged. The life she always knew is over. Everywhere she looks, she sees the walls of the spaceship Godspeed.

But there may be hope: Elder has assumed leadership of the ship. He's finally free to act on his vision—no more Phydus, no more lies.

But when Elder learns shocking news about the ship, he and Amy race to discover the truth behind life on Godspeed. They must work together to unlock a mystery that was set in motion hundreds of years earlier. Their success—or failure—will determine the fate of the 2,298 passengers aboard Godspeed. But with each step, the journey becomes more perilous, the ship more chaotic, and the love between them more impossible to fight.

Beth Revis catapulted readers into the far reaches of space with her New York Times bestselling debut, Across the Universe. In A Million Suns, Beth deepens the mystery with action, suspense, romance, and deep philosophical questions. And this time it all builds to one mind-bending conclusion: They have to get off this ship.

Wow guys this book is "frexing" fantastic. Why? you might ask...[1] the plot is so so good. It captured me instantly and kept me there until the end. I loved it so much that I didn't care if I had to stay up all night, I had to know what happened next. I enjoy this one more than Across the Universe. The first book is more like a setting stone and this one is when thing is getting excited. [2] the pacing has improved a lot in the book. [3] the mystery is blowing my mind. It's just wow I couldn't guess it all. Lies, secrets will caught you off guard and all you can say is "what just happened" because it's too shocking to do anything else.

Reading this book is like finding treasure, I love the whole process of collecting the clue and figuring out what it means. And let me say it now, I usually find "treasure hunting" as a fun, energetic activity but this time I felt scare. The whole process was just plain horrid. I was worried that they would get caught or someone was waiting to get them. This book can sure be qualified as Halloween read. No ghost here but still this book can give you a nightmare with its secret.

Elder is so caring, his love for Amy is so sweet. In this book with the Eldest is gone Elder has a heavy responsibility to keep everything in order and to do the right thing. You will see that doing "right thing" here not always makes the problem disappear but sometimes it can cause another problem to rise. And the hardest part is how to get through those difficult time with the minimum damage as possible. So with all the chaotic on Godspeed you can guess that there is not much romance here which is a bummer. But you still can see that Amy and Elder will end up together despite all the talks Amy made about "it might not right to be with Elder because there is no one else to fall in love with".

And with that kind of ending I cannot wait to read Shades of Earth because I know it will epic >.<

  1. I read Across the Universe a while ago and STILL haven't picked this book up!!! I seriously need more time in a day! *sigh* Anyway. From what you said it sounds as though the author has definitely stepped up her game. Oohhhh and Halloween read? Does this mean I should read it around Halloween? Or maybe I can just dress up in a costume and carve a pumpkin so I don't have to wait that long! Lol. :) so glad that Elder stays so sweet!! He was one of my fav characters from the first book! Lovely review! :) and I'm so glad you liked the book!
