For months Clara Gardner trained to face the fire from her visions, but she wasn't prepared for the choice she had to make that day. And in the aftermath, she discovered that nothing about being part angel is as straightforward as she thought.

Now, torn between her love for Tucker and her complicated feelings about the roles she and Christian seem destined to play in a world that is both dangerous and beautiful, Clara struggles with a shocking revelation: Someone she loves will die in a matter of months. With her future uncertain, the only thing Clara knows for sure is that the fire was just the beginning.

In this compelling sequel to Unearthly, Cynthia Hand captures the joy of first love, the anguish of loss, and the confusion of becoming who you are.
It's just WOW... so many things happened in this book that gave me speechless. This book picked right where Unearthly left of so I was really glad to get back into the world, back to action you know. Secrets were revealed and it's a lot to take all in at once. But I was glad that I had most the answers. Everything made sense now and I understood Clara's mother, why she did it and how hard it was for her to keep the secrets. My feeling for her had changed, I loved her now. She's a great mother I'd said =)

The first part of the book I disliked Clara because all she thought about was Tucker and Tucker and nothing but Tucker. It annoyed the hell out of me, I felt like she'd give up everything for a guy.  There's nothing wrong with Tucker I know. He's sweet and down to earth. It's even so cute when he got jealous. But it's not the right time to be lovey dovey when everything was in chaos right now. Christian has started to grow on me a lot in this book. I like him more and somehow hope that Clara would end up with Christian. It's like Tucker is Clara's first love and Christian would be her last. About Angela, I began to have a doubt: is she a good or a bad person? I hope that I was wrong because I don't want to hate Angela. I want them (Angela, Clara and Christian) to be best friend forever.

Final thought: I love this book more than the first one. The story is so intriguing and I love the fact that I had a chance to learn about everyone's past even Sam. I even felt  sorry for Sam though and I hope somehow he'd be good again. Anyway if you are a fan of angel book or never read an angel book before then please do yourself a favor pick this series up and I am sure you will in love with it by the end =)
