This weeks Question:
Activity! Hopefully warm weather for most of us is here soon…so tell us about your favorite outdoor reading spot. Or take a picture.
-----------------
Spring is coming and the weather where I live is already mid 80. I personally cannot stand the heat, it gives me migrate. So I do not read anywhere except inside my house, I love to read in my room with the cooler blowing near by. You may ask that what if the weather is cooler, do I read outside? The answer is no, too much distraction. It is hard to concentrate when cars keep passing by every second.
I think I will let you know the reason why my room is a perfect reading spot for me despite how the weather is that day
The library---yeah it's quite there but why I want to drive there just to read when I can read at home
The park---awww lovebirds everywhere or there will be family outing near by and the kids are yelling and you can literally hear them even you are five blocks away.
The beach----I admire those who can read at the beach, too much distraction unless you read it as night or early in the morning when there is only you and the sound the the wave
The backyard---like I said above cars are passing by every second.
Did I miss any place that can be considered a good reading spot? I hope not
So tell me what do you guy think? Do you like to read outside and if so what is your secret of not getting distracted?
I'm an indoors reader too! In college I could read anywhere, but now I need more peace and quiet. My couch is my go-to place. New GFC follower here and I hit you up on Twitter (@robgirlbooks). This is my FF.
ReplyDeleteYup, I totally agree. The best place to read is indoors. :P

I agree with you. I'm not really an outside reader because I live in a tropical area, and it's always a constant battle against mosquitoes and bugs.

If it's too hot I can't read outside either. it gives me a headache. So I totally understand.

I read at the beach and I can relax there despite the crowd.:)

Having distractions when reading is the worst. The noises outside don't normally bother me, though, unless there's an actual conversation closeby. Words that I can understand tend to distract me more than noise.

I agree, it's way too hot where I live too. I actually like to read with the TV and music on, it's when people try to talk to me I get angry LOL

Reading in my bed is probably my favourite spot! I'm an old follower, here's my FF at Rookie Romance
ReplyDeleteHaha. I like how you just want to read where there's very little sound/no distractions. I totally get that. :)

It doesn't get too hot where I live, so I like to read in the backyard. :)
